The MOTOmed viva2 trainers are a perfect supplement to sports and movement therapy in medical facilities and at home, because it enables regular activity independent of the weather.
Besides as leg trainer, the MOTOmed viva2 is also available as leg- and arm/ upper body trainer. The MOTOmed arm-/upper body trainer can be swivelled in and out of the training area. The arm-/upper body training strengthens the arm-, upper body- and shoulder muscles and reinforces the auxiliary respiratory muscles.

Usability – simple operation
Users navigate intuitively through the MOTOmed colour display (display diagonal 5,7 inch), because every possible operating step is displayed in “green”. Tactile (slightly increased), large keys ensure easy operation. The large display of the training allows for a good legibility.

Foot insertion aid
In order to easily insert and fasten the feet into the safety foot shells you can position the pedals into the desired position by pushing the respective button on the control panel. This function also facilitates the removal of the feet from the foot shells at the end of each training session.
MovementProtector
In case of spasticity, muscle cramping or any sort of movement blockage, the MOTOmed MovementProtector will stop the pedal movement. Special characteristic about this safety feature: The MovementProtector does not remain in a constant mode but adjusts to the changing muscle tension. Therefore, it is always optimally sensitive.
ServoCycling
Similar to a power steered vehicle, the MOTOmed feature ServoCycling supports the user during active training. This function enables, even people with minimal muscle strength, to train actively without overstraining. The feature supports the maintenance and improvement of residual muscle strength.
SymmetryTraining
The MOTOmed function SymmetryTraining is beneficial when aiming to targetedly train the weaker side of the body. Depending on the model, the depiction of this function may vary. In MOTOmed viva2 models, a two-scale diagram shows the user how much strength they exert with the left and the right body half. The MOTOmed muvi depicts this function with an animated figure. This way the user can targetly train the weaker side. SymmetryTraining also counteracts overstraining of healthy limbs.
Training analysis
The training data analysis will motivate you to engage in a regular MOTOmed movement. You can view all important training values (e.g. symmetry, performance, speed, distance and time) during the entire training session on the MOTOmed color display. With the completion of the training, the overview of all available 36 values is displayed. The MOTOmed viva2 stores the ''previous training '' along with other training data that is compiled in an overall analysis. These values can be retrieved any time.
Viva2 light
Movement therapy in a nutshell
The MOTOmed viva2 light offers high quality standard functions for a safe movement with paralysis or spasticity. The MOTOmed viva2 light contains the basic device functions, adjustments and training feedback. Besides as leg trainer, the MOTOmed viva2 light is also available as leg- and arm/ upper body trainer. The MOTOmed arm-/upper body trainer can be swiveled in and out of the training area. The arm/upper body training strengthens the arm, upper body and shoulder muscles and reinforces the auxiliary respiratory muscles.
Viva2 Parkinson
“Forced Exercise“ – movement speed up to 90 U/min
On basis of recent findings from Parkinson’s research, RECK medical devices developed, together with a group of scientist from the US, the MOTOmed movement therapy for Parkinson’s patients. The employment of special components enables motor supported leg movement, similar to normal cycling with up to 90 U/min. This way, the MOTOmed viva2 Parkinson enables the application of the new therapy method “Forced Exercise”.
Fast forced and supported movements may help to reduce tremor (contracting muscles), improve walking ability and to conduct normal movements with more purpose. An individually adapted training program ensures effective and simple training sessions. Parkinson’s patients can use the Parkinson’s therapy “Forced Exercise” easily and daily at home.
Besides as leg trainer, the MOTOmed viva2 Parkinson is also available as leg- and arm/upper body trainer. The MOTOmed arm-/upper body trainer can be swiveled in and out of the training area. The arm/upper body training strengthens the arm, upper body and shoulder muscles and reinforces the auxiliary respiratory muscles.
The MOTOmed viva2 Parkinson is serially equipped with a chip card reader which is the necessary precondition needed to integrate the sam2 training analysis program. This special program provides the possibility to store and analyze the training data for a longer period of time.
Viva2 stativ
Effective arm training
Users who want to do a specific arm-/upper body training only, the MOTOmed viva2 stativ is the most suitable device of the MOTOmed family. The arm- and upper body training strengthens especially the arm-, upper body- and shoulder musculature and strengthens the auxiliary respiratory muscles.
Training and motivation games and different therapy programs will help to enhance your concentration and coordination. A detailed training analysis and the option to save the data with chip card and sam2 (accessories) complement the various fields of application of the MOTOmed viva2 stativ.
Gracile12
Effective movement therapy for children with special needs
The pediatric model from RECK medical devices is the only motorized movement therapy device that fulfills the special needs of children. The MOTOmed has a narrow pedal distance of 12 cm enabling children and small adults to train in a physiological joint position. This may avoid an unnatural straining of hip and knee joints. The height adjustable foot shells can be adapted to the length of the legs for an ideal sitting position. The MOTOmed gracile12 grows along with your child. The MOTOmed gracile12 is equipped with several safety features, such as SpasmControl and MovementProtector. This way, a safe daily movement therapy becomes possible even with physical limitations.
Besides the leg trainer, the MOTOmed gracile12 is available as a combination device for leg and arm-/upper body training. The MOTOmed arm-/upper body trainer can be swiveled in and swiveled out of the training area. The arm-/upper body training specifically strengthens the arm-, upper body-, shoulder and the auxiliary respiratory musculature.
MOTOmax - more fun during training
During active training, children can make the game character MOTOmax jump and collect points. If either legs or arms are engaged equally, the MOTOmax ''jumps for joy'' and rewards children with a smile.
